Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life.
To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of functioning of the administrative body, school cabinet was formed at Montfort School and the investiture ceremony was held on 28/04/2018 in the School Campus, coinciding with Montfort Founder’s day which is also celebrated on the same day. Students presented different programs to celebrate the dual occasion.
The beginning of the program was through the blessed thanks giving mass. The function was presided over by Fr. Florence Kujur, Principal, St. John’s School/Inter the chief guest of the function and Bro. Placy Kandulna, the special Guest;Bro.Pradeep Horo,Principal;Bro.Manoj Lugun,Vice Principal and Sister Benita.The teaching staff and the students also participated with lots of zeal .The function was conducted by Ms. Pamela & Ms. Kiran.
Selina Barla of class 9th was selected as the Head Girl.
Uttam Kumar of class 10th was selected as the Head boy.
At the same time House Leaders (Montfort House, Gabriel House, Louis House & Trichet House), Club In-Charges (Literary Club (English), Literary Club (Hindi), Cultural Club, Eco Club, Science Club, Maths Club, Art & Craft, Music and Sports club) and class representatives (STD. I-X) were selected.
The chief guest of the day, administered the oath to the members of the cabinet and gave the sashes to the Head Boy, Head Girl. Special Guest presented the badges.
In his address, the Chief Guest appreciated the efforts by the school for providing opportunities to the students to take part in activities like these. He also congratulated the newly appointed school cabinet members for their preparedness to take responsibilities and cautioned them against allowing such responsibilities hinder their academics. He said “Instead use these opportunities and balance them well with academics to excel in both. He wished well to all the members of the school cabinet.”
Ms. Sonali proposed the Vote of thanks. Cakes were distributed among children. The programme concluded with the singing of the School anthem.
